Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has now been using Zap Report Scheduler for about 9 months now. During initial discussions with them, our product team realized that they were facing challenges in bulk sending automated monthly statements and invoices to their customers. They had tried few other expensive solutions in market but none of them were fitting their needs.

Our product team assisted the Dynamics 365 team in CBI in setting up Zap Report Scheduler and trying out their multiple use-cases. After having a satisfactory trial phase, their team went LIVE with Zap Report Scheduler App in November of 2022. Now, every few months they are expanding their use of Zap Report Scheduler functionalities – latest one (implemented in June 2023) being 1-Click Export feature. Now lets look in to the current Use-Case: Bulk Sending of monthly reports to Account Managers and Customers!

Below screenshot shows the email received by a customer with the invoice attached:

This can be achieved by creating a power-automate / workflow which triggers when status of invoice changes… and sends the invoice pdf (which is generated from the report) in email to  Customer! Please note that the power automate step or the workflow step comes built-in within Zap Report Scheduler solution.

However if we need to send these emails (with exported report attached) to Customers in BULK then there is a different approach that we need to use. We will be explaining this in details in our next blog: “How to BULK send emails with pdf statements (generated from exported report) to Customers or Partners every month using Zap Report Scheduler App for Dynamics 365 for Sales, Customer Service and Power Apps”.
